Recent Work
Where I've been and what I've been saying.
Happy spring. I’ve been working and traveling and trying to keep my mind focused on writing rather than posting. For Business Insider, I wrote about the proud jingoism of Palantir and other defense tech companies seeking to “defend the West.” I also looked at some of the insane rhetoric coming from tech elites and why the market rewards it.
For The Nation, I wrote about the death of OpenAI whistleblower Suchir Balaji, his grieving parents’ campaign for a deeper investigation into his apparent suicide, and how their cause has been embraced by right-wing media and Musk loyalists.
At NPR, I was interviewed for segments about the Saudi influence on Silicon Valley and billionaires investing in charter cities.
Last month, I went to Arizona for the Tucson Festival of Books, where I appeared on a couple panels that which were taped for CSPAN. You can find them here and here.
In March, I appeared in a German documentary about Trump’s financial corruption. It’s only viewable in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, so a VPN may be needed.
There are some other recent podcast and interview segments out there for the true psycho fans. I’ve been working hard on a reported feature that should be out in the next few weeks. More soon.
