I’m the co-author of the New York Times best seller “Easy Money: Cryptocurrency, Casino Capitalism, and the Golden Age of Fraud” (Abrams, 2023), and the author of “Terms of Service: Social Media and the Price of Constant Connection” (HaperCollins, 2015). My third book, “Gilded Rage: Elon Musk and the Radicalization of Silicon Valley,” was published in October 2025 and will be appearing in paperback in September 2026.
In recent years, I’ve written a lot about crypto and corporate fraud, the hallucinations of the ZIRP economy, the emergence of right-wing, MAGA-supporting tech oligarchs, and the national security state. In July 2026, I started as a reporter for ICIJ.org, a nonprofit newsroom that investigates corruption and broken systems.
